Furniture Donations

We welcome donations of furniture and housewares which we sell in our stores to raise funds for our food pantry and operations.

ftf6We gladly accept items such as  couches, bureaus, desks, chairs, bookcases, tables, lamps, clocks, artwork, hutches, mirrors and other home goods.

Our donation center is open Tuesday through Saturday from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm. We offer free pick up for your larger donations of furniture. Please call 789-1559 ext. 12 to schedule a pick up or email donations@jonnycakecenter.org.

Unfortunately at this time we are unable to accept the following items:

CHILDREN’S EQUIPMENT

LARGE AND MEDIUM SIZE APPLIANCES
Refrigerators, stoves, and microwaves; washers and dryers; dishwashers; vacuum cleaners, air conditioners, space heaters, fans, and de-humidifiers; power tools; grills; sewing machines; and hairdryers. COMPUTER and ENTERTAINMENT EQUIPMENT
Computers and printers; televisions; VCRs and VHS tapes; video games; stereo systems and cassettes.  Alternative Site:  Narragansett Dept of Public Works Maintenance Facility, 260 Westmoreland Street, Narragansett, RI, Mon-Fri 7:30 am to 3:00 pm. and Goodwill Industries  100 Houghton Street, Providence,  www.goodwillri.org and Staples accepts computers, laptops, printers, computer equipment and more.  783-8127.

CERTAIN FURNITURE
Pianos; entertainment centers; file cabinets; sleeper sofas; window blinds; and curtain rods. Halogen floor lamps and bean bag chairs. Furniture that is broken, worn, or stained.

SLEEPING EQUIPMENT
Mattresses, futons, and box springs; sleeper sofas; bed frames,  headboards and footboards; sleeping bags; air mattresses; electric blankets; and bed pillows.

MEDICAL EQUIPMENT

SPORTING and EXERCISE EQUIPMENT
Baseball bats, golf clubs, rackets, skateboards, and helmets; treadmills and exercise bikes; weights; tents and camping equipment.

STAINED and FRAYED BLANKETS AND TOWELS
Towels and blankets that are ripped and torn; single sheets that are not part of a set; and frayed towels.

PET SUPPLIES AND EQUIPMENT
Leashes and collars; animal beds and outerwear; and crates.
