Feeding our Neighbors
Jonnycake Center of Peace Dale helps households put food on the table when they are struggling to make ends meet. We primarily serve residents living in the towns of South Kingstown and Narragansett.
All of our food pantry visitors receive a week’s worth of food for every member of their household each month. They also receive vouchers to shop for clothing in our retail stores, as well as other essential items like diapers and nutritional supplements.
We help connect those in need with community resources, while advocating for policy solutions that will help improve economic security for all Rhode Islanders.
It’s Easy to Get Help
The first step is to sign up to visit the food pantry at our main offices at 1231 Kingstown Road, Peace Dale, R.I. You will need to bring:
- Proof that you live in South Kingstown or Narragansett (such as a utility bill or lease)
- Identification for yourself and/or your spouse (such as a driver’s license, military ID, or passport)
- Proof of dependents under age 18 (such as birth certificates, SNAP or school lunch letter)
If you have any questions, please call Jen Krueger at (401) 789-1559 ext. 15.
If you are over age 60 and are applying for the Commodity Supplemental Food Program (CSFP), you will also need proof of your income.
