We are strongest when we work together to help those in need. We are a better community when we work for the common good. Here are a few of the many ways you can be part of the solution to ending hunger and poverty in our community.
Invest In Us
Financial gifts allow us the flexibility to purchase food and other basic needs as they arise.
Financial gifts give us the best bang for our buck as we can purchase food from the RI Community Food Bank and other wholesalers. Financial gifts ensure we can purchase fresh fruits and vegetables, dairy products, and proteins not otherwise available through donations. Every gift has an impact, no matter how big or small.

Work With Us
Donate your time to help us fulfill our mission. There are a host of available opportunities.
Volunteers are the backbone of our operation. They serve our pantry shoppers, sort donations for our thrift store, prepare tax returns, distribute holiday gifts, and more. We ask volunteers to commit to at least six months of service on a routine basis. If you are interested in joining our volunteer team, please complete our Volunteer Application. We will get back to you shortly.
If you have questions, please email our Volunteer Coordinator, Maureen Apperson, at email@example.com.
Families and children, businesses, faith-based and civic groups
Explore a host of ways that you can support our work off site as space inside our facility is limited.
School-required community service
We are not able to accommodate students who need to perform community service until the fall of 2022. Until then, see our opportunities to perform service off-site.
Court-ordered community service
We are not able to accept individuals who need to complete court-ordered community service.
We accept donations of different goods and items including food, clothing, children’s books, cookware, holiday gifts, and more.
We accept non-perishable food donations at our new facility at 22 Kersey Road in Peace Dale. Simply pull up to the porch and drop your donations in the bin. If you are organizing a food drive, please contact us to coordinate the drop-off.
Clothing, Housewares, and More
We accept donations of clothing, shoes, accessories, artwork, and housewares for our thrift store. Donations can be made in the rear of our building at 1231 Kingstown Road in Peace Dale, Monday through Friday from 10am to 2pm.
Childrens’s Books, Cook Books, and Cookware
Please drop these items at 22 Kersey Road in Peace Dale on the front porch in the bins.
The Center provides gifts to hundreds of children and seniors each holiday season. We welcome gift cards, toys, winter clothing, and other items that will bring joy to local residents.
